Grants & Loans

​​Mechanical Insulation Grant Program​
​​Provides subsidies to eligible individuals, nonprofit organizations and business entities that install mechanical insulation in Maryland-based buildings and industrial processes. ​​
Open Energy Grant Program​
​The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) is interested in receiving proposal​​s that fall outside the range of its other ENERGY programs.

Resilient Maryland 

​Provides grants for the planning, design, and installation of microgrids, resilient facility power systems, and solar plus battery storage systems for resiliency hubs.
​​Commercial, Industrial & Agricultural Grant (CI&A)
​A program that provides grants for deep energy retrofit projects in commercial, industrial, agricultural, and non-profit facilities.

Commercial Clean Energy Rebate 
​Receive financial assistance to install solar photovoltaic, solar photovoltaic canopy, solar water heating, and geothermal heat pump systems.​
Commercial Wood Feasibility Study ​

Grant to conduct wood energy feasibility studies at eligible facilities in Maryland.  

​​Data Center Energy Efficiency Grant (DEECG)​A competitive grant used to encourage the implementation of cost-effective energy efficiency measures in Maryland data centers.

​Jane E. Lawton Conservation Loan ​
Apply for a loan to identify and install energy conservation improvements.

Solar Canopy and Dual Use Technology Grant Program
​This program provides grants for the installation of parking lot solar canopies with a dual use, such as the integration of electric vehicle chargers.
​​Maryland Offshore Wind Supply Chain Investment ProgramProvides grant funding on a non-competitive basis to support new or existing businesses entering the offshore wind supply chain in Maryland.​
Maryland Offshore Wind Workforce Training & Education Program​
Provides grant funding on a competitive basis to support new or existing workforce training centers and academic institutions expand their capabilities to support the State’s offshore wind workforce training and education efforts.  

Rebates

​​ EmPO​W​ER Maryland utility-sponsored programsPassed in 2008 by the Maryland General Assembly, EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act, established a goal to reduce per capita electricity usage and peak demand 15% by 2015. Energy efficiency is one of the least expensive ways to meet the growing electricity demands of the state, EmPOWER helps to promote energy efficiency saving Marylanders money.

Community Solar​
​Allows Maryland businesses to purchase subscriptions for energy from community solar arrays. Inactive program​.
Demand Response and Building Automation Program
​​​A competitive program that provides grants for demand side resource projects that use state-of-the-art power controls, communication, and building automation technologies. Inactive program
Kathy A. P. Mathias Agriculture Energy Efficiency Program
​Receive grants ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 to assist with the costs of installing cost effective energy efficiency measures. Inactive program - see CI&A grants 
Maryland Statewide Farm Energy Audit Program
​Participate in a farm energy audit and apply for cash rebates for energy saving projects. Inactive program ​
